I can see your house from here

Same day trip as the Pere Lachaise photo below. Taken from level 2 of the Eiffel Tower. Walked up to avoid the lift queue. Shot with an Olympus Mju.

Tinted Mono Skatepark Girl

There's a great wide angle effect on this square photo, which I've always found hard to do in that format. On the other hand, the photographer's using a Tokina 12-24mm, so that might explain it to some extent, lol.

Great pic. Youthful yearning.

Soweto

This isn't meant to be a blog on African photography but I keep falling over these excellent stories. This is The New Yorker on "Postcards from Soweto", by Jodi Bieber.

Best photography bookshops in London

Purists on the street

Chris Weeks: "Street Photography for the Purist", downloadable free in pdf from the Deviant Art website. The 160 page book is a street photography how-to (10mb download). The download button is on the far right of the page. Funny, opinionated and very accurate. Excellent photos and several forewards from different photographers.
